0 Matrix Models : Fermion Doubling vs . Anomaly ⋆
We present some arguments showing spectrum doubling of matrix models in the limit N → ∞ which is connected with fermionic determinant behaviour. The problems are similar to ones encountered in the lattice gauge theories with chiral fermions. One may discuss the “physical meaning” of the doubling states or ways to eliminate them. We briefly consider both situations.
متن کاملAlgebraic adjoint of the polynomials-polynomial matrix multiplication
This paper deals with a result concerning the algebraic dual of the linear mapping defined by the multiplication of polynomial vectors by a given polynomial matrix over a commutative field
متن کاملComputation of the Adjoint Matrix
Abstract. The best method for computing the adjoint matrix of an order n matrix in an arbitrary commutative ring requires O(n log n log log n) operations, provided the complexity of the algorithm for multiplying two matrices is γn + o(n). For a commutative domain – and under the same assumptions – the complexity of the best method is 6γn/(2 − 2) + o(n). In the present work a new method is prese...
متن کاملInstantons and Fermion Condensate in Adjoint Qcd 2
We show that QCD 2 with adjoint fermions involves instantons due to nontrivial π 1 [SU (N)/Z N ] = Z N. At high temperatures, quasiclassical approximation works and the action and the form of effective (with account of quantum corrections) in-stanton solution can be evaluated. Instanton presents a localized configuration with the size ∝ g −1. At N = 2, it involves exactly 2 zero fermion modes a...
متن کاملBounds on norms of the adjoint matrix
An upper bound on operator norms of the adjoint matrix is presented, and special cases of the l 1 , l 2 and l 1 norms are investigated. The results are then used to obtain lower bounds on the smallest absolute value of an eigenvalue of a nonsingular matrix.
